I discovered this hymn in our hymnal and saw that it had a powerful message for today. However, the melody and style were not for today. So, I reimagined this hymn with a different melody and harmonies. I don’t mean to commit sacrilege but I added a bridge section that I felt added to the over all message of the hymn. Listen carefully to the message that D.S. Warner was conveying to the church.
